Walk along the border of rolling hills with blossoming fruit orchards and characteristic southern agriculture. Six signposted walks take you through the boroughs of Piringen, Overrepen, Kolmont, Neerrepen, and Riksingen, offering a total of 40 km of walking pleasure.

Walking through sunken roads & between clear springs

The green panorama in the northeastern part of Tongeren is home to many archaeological traces. Lords planted vineyards and enthusiastically built castles and square farms. Along the banks of the Jeker River & De Kevie nature reserve

From the old city walls of Tongeren, the Jeker river winds its way powerfully through the Haspengouw landscape, shaping the entire area. Follow its banks via nine signposted routes that take you through the boroughs of Mal, Sluizen, Nerem, and Vreren, and through the beautiful nature reserve of De Kevie. Here, you really feel like you are in an uninhabited world.
